Kale Slaw with Garlic Tahini


Kale is abundant in my garden, so time to start trying some new recipes. I like this one, it has an Asian flair to the dressing. The Chia seeds add a slight crunch.

Slaw Greens 

2 cups kale destemmed
2 cups Red kale; shredded or sliced (maybe at a farmers market) or use all regular kale
2 cups Red cabbage
Fruit Options- add any or all of these: 
6 whole strawberries; sliced
1 whole kiwi; sliced
2 cups red grapes (seedless); whole
Garlic Tahini Sauce 
2 tablespoons tahini 
1 whole lemon; juiced
6 cloves garlic; pressed
1 teaspoon soy sauce  
2 tablespoons Chia Seeds
Add Water till sauce is at desired consistency 

optional: Romano(Sheeps milk) cheese or try other cheeses that might go well with the soy sauce. Or try the slaw with a honey Tahini dressing.

Garlic Tahini Kale Slaw Preparation

Slice and combine greens

Add desired fruit and some freshly shredded Romano  cheese

Toss with Garlic Tahini Sauce and serve or chill
